Tribute To The Legends

By  |

Join RollinSD this year, at the Tribute to the Legends Festival. We will be sending our music correspondent to the Sports Arena on February 21, 2011 to cover it. Formerly Bob Marley Day in San Diego, it has outgrown itself since it’s humble beginnings. The festival features over 9 hours of intense Reggae. The biggest names in Reggae all come together for one great show. If you are looking for something great to do on Presidents Day, this is it. Not only will you get to see some world renowned artists like Don Carlos and Richie Spice, our very own Tribal Seeds from San Diego will be performing. Tribal Seeds’ self titled album, was picked as part of i-tunes 100 greatest albums of 2008. Since then, they have recorded another album and toured all over California, Hawaii, and Guam. Our very own legends, in their own right. The real treat will be when Bunny Wailer (one of the original members of Bob Marley’s band) takes the stage. Day long festivals are always fun but can be fatiguing. Not to worry, the food vendors are out in force to satisfy concert goer’s munchies. Everything from Ital foods to original Jamaican Jerk chicken is sold from local vendors. The cultural experience is unmatched at this event. For one day, the entire Sports Arena is really for the people of San Diego to express themselves freely. The atmosphere of the show is always positive. Usually MC’d by our local Radio talent and founder of the World Beat Center, Makeda Dread.   To find out more abut more and order your tickets, click here –   Tribute To The Legends ~Tom Searcy
