Kassim Osgood Gets Pistol-Whipped

By  |

Is dropping a ball when you are wide open in the end zone worse than getting pistol-whipped in the head?  That question is up for debate.  Being on National TV and dropping a pass to win the game can be one of the worst things that can happen to a wide receiver in the NFL.  I said one of the worst.   Getting pistol-whipped in the head is never a good thing, but what happened to Kassim is even worse…… This guy is 30 years old, plays for the NFL and  hanging with a 19 yr old girl.  He is at her parents house up in her bedroom and…….. he is 30 years old in the NFL.  Does he not have his own place or could she not get out because she had curfew?  Next, a guy walks in with a plastic bag over his head with a gun.  The guy walking in can’t be too smart to wear a plastic bag over his head so make a quick move right to left like you would on Sunday and tackle the guy and hold the plastic bag around his head is what I am thinking.  You have to put a chair up against the game room door so you can jump out of a 2nd story window and run the the neighbors to call 911?  Again, you are 30 and in the NFL, don’t you have a cell phone? So I think you see where I am going with this.   What is this guy thinking?  Put yourself in a better position.  Dropping a ball on Sunday sucks, but being pistol-whipped in the head and having some idiot (me) in San Diego make fun of you for it is even worse.  I also love that the chick had a laser on her gun.  Are you kidding me?  19 yrs old, going to college, living with her parents and she has a gun with a laser.  TMTMTL@RollinSD.com Too bad he is not still on the Chargers.  He and Vincent Jackson would be perfect for each other.  Article below.

Jaguars wide receiver Kassim Osgood had to leap out a second-floor window late Monday to escape a gun-wielding man who had attacked him and a 19-year-old Roar cheerleader he was visiting in a Jacksonville home.

By the time it was over, police said the armed intruder had traded gunfire with the woman after sticking a gun to her head, saying, “What did that football player say to his girlfriend, ’It’s a good day to die,’ ” misquoting ex-Florida Gator Chris Rainey’s recent text message to a former girlfriend after an arrest.

Osgood, a former Pro Bowl special teams player in his first season with the Jaguars, had some minor bruises from his escape and being pistol-whipped, the Sheriff’s Office report said. He declined to comment Wednesday.

“He’s fine,” coach Jack Del Rio said. “I’m aware of it. I really can’t comment on that whole deal. But he’s doing OK.”

Julian Armond Bartletto, 20, of the 10500 block of Running Oak Court has been arrested on charges of aggravated battery, false imprisonment, armed robbery, burglary and violation of an injunction, police said. He was booked into the Duval County jail ineligible for bail, according to jail records  click here for compete story  it only gets better
