Black Whores?

By  |

Apparently the NAACP can now fabricate racism, and in the process make a $4 billion company pull a product.  Hallmark had a talking graduation card on the market for three years and has now been intimidated into pulling it from the shelves.  The card has an outer space theme and encourages the graduate to conquer the universe, even “black holes.”

The Los Angeles chapter of the NAACP hears “black whores,” where the rest of the non-race obsessed world hears “black holes.”  (And no, I didn’t miss the double entendre, I’m just trying to rise above it.)  “That was very demeaning to African-American women when it made reference to African-American women as whores, and at the end it says ‘watch your back,'” said Leon Jenkins of the Los Angeles NAACP.
Leave it to Hallmark, the maker of all things sappy and sentimental, to use greeting cards to hide their deep, dark racism by cleverly disguising it as a space-themed graduation card.  I guess it doesn’t matter that the card was not, even remotely, talking about African-Americans, women, or whores.
In the alternative, what ever happened to freedom of expression?  Don’t black whores deserve to have their own greeting card?  Did the LA NAACP stop for a minute and think about all the black girls working the stroll that might appreciate a little shout-out?  What about the white whores?  White whores deserve a card, too!  Maybe Hallmark has a thing for black whores and is actually discriminating against the white whores. Where’s the ACLU on this?  Where’s the NAAWP?
What the hell is this country coming to?  If unions and liberals don’t destroy this country, then political correctness will.   Creed@RollinSD.com
National InterestNAACP Urges Hallmark to Pull ‘Racist’ Card From Shelves

Published June 11, 2010 | FOXNews.com

LOS ANGELES — A space-themed, talking Hallmark graduation card is being pulled from store shelves because of the card’s reference to a black hole.

But members of the Los Angeles NAACP say the message sounds like “black whore” in the card’s audio recording. That’s how they hear it, and they say it’s racist,  KABC-TV in Los Angeles reported. Entire Story
